Tie It On is a quick and easy pattern that anyone can
enjoy. I wanted something that could be
done very quickly while looking original.
Whether you are knitting a gift or looking for something to do between
projects, Tie It On is the pattern for you.
Knit on
#15 needles and requiring only a few yards of Super Bulky Yarn, you can finish
several stylish ties in very little time.
SIZE/MEASUREMENTS
One size
Length: 14 inches without neck chain, 24 inches with neck chain
Width: 1.5 inches
MATERIALS
Yarn
Rowan Big Wool 100% Wool 80m/100 g skein; color: 020 Lucky; 1
skein makes several ties
Needles
1 set US #15/10mm straight or circular needles
Notions
Tapestry needle
Size K crochet hook (optional)
GAUGE
7 sts/8 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch
PATTERN
NOTES
If you want a longer tie cast on more stitches
PATTERN
CO 30 sts
K 3 rows
BO all sts except last one.
Crochet a chain of 45 sts starting with the last st of your BO
row (you may want to use a crochet hook for this, but it isn’t necessary).
Pull last chain st through and sew the tail to the other corner
of tie (see photo).
Sew in loose ends with tapestry needle.
