love your surprise :)
I see a small herd of them used to store knitting in progress, fiber for spinning...or even a small one as a spinning bag since I can't for the life of me keep my fiber wrapped around my wrist nicely!
I started reading your blog...and went back and read a bunch of entries. I was very intriged by the knitting suprise, that's how I found your website. I am a photography student at college, I enjoyed the integration of knitting of photography. It made my smile. I especially love the lace knitting triptychs. The random lace knitting written piece made me start itching to start a new project. It's a great thing to put down...even though I feel like I've done that very process many times when lace charts were not behaving.
I will be sure to read your blog in the future!
Hooray for Surprises!
Great bag and LOVE the article!

Can't reply to you directly, hoping you will read here....thanks for leaving some kind words. I have been working as a fiber artist my entire adult life (and some before), and we have worked for a long time trying to integrate what he does photographically with what I do, and we try to incorporate writing as well.....it doesn't always work, but it is always fun! And, as for the Random Lace, enjoy yourself! I am SURE that I did not invent it, who could claim such a thing? But, maybe it will give some other frustrated lace knitters (myself included) something to laugh about on a bad day! Good luck to you, and thanks again,
kiki
Thanks for your kind words about the work on my blog. I'm honoured - I love your site, it seems to be a hotbed of ideas. I'm amazed that another knitter has fallen under my spell. (Insert evil laugh) Lace knitting doesn't have to be on teeny, tiny needles. It doesn't have to be hard. Having said that - I just got Sharon Miller's Wedding Ring Shawl pattern today. Guess what? It's on teeny, tiny needles and looks fearfully hard. Yikes...what have I done?
Steve- YOU ROCK!!!!
